HTA Living Hawaiian Culture Program Awardees
The Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement (CNHA) and Hawai‘i Tourism Authority (HTA) announce the 2008 Kūkulu Ola – HTA Living Hawaiian Culture Program (LHCP) Awardees. The awarded projects range from traditional arts projects, malama aina projects, from non-profit organizations and for-profit companies from around the State. Over $4 million in proposed projects were received by the November 1 deadline. 45% of proposals submitted were from neighbor island organizations and 82% were from non-profits.
Projects awarded honor and perpetuate the Hawaiian culture and community, and meet the Hawaiian Culture goal and objectives outlined in the Hawaii Tourism Strategic Plan 2005-2015.
