Stopping a print job

We’ve all been printing something important for school, work or pleasure than realized once we hit that “Print” button that we had made so huge mistake. As you sit idly by, you watch your paper get wasted. Even worse, you have to watch yourself slowly run out of ink. It’s always really important stuff to. Who wants to print their 20 page paper from chemistry just to realize when they get page5 printed that they are going to have to print again? Or what about those times you go to print off movie tickets and realize your printer is out of ink? Once they print, you will be screwed out of money and have to buy new tickets. To watch a video that will teach you how to stop print jobs midway through, go to Ehow.

To cancel the print job directly on the printer, locate the “Cancel” button. Depending on your printer model, this could also say “Job Cancel” or “Print Cancel”. This will either be located on the top of your printer, the control panel of your printer or the touch screen on your unit. Press the button and that should cancel the current print job. The screen should read “Canceling Job”. Once it has been completely cancelled, it will display “Ready”. Now you can fix whatever you need to do and start the print job over from square one.

If you want to cancel the print job from your computer, you can do that too. First, just click the printer icon. You should find this on the lower right hand corner of your task bar. A pop up window should come up, and you need to choose “Open”. Now a printing queue should open up. Highlight whatever job you want to cancel and then hit “Delete”.
